flower pot help

I just recently bought a green flower pot and I was told to feed it cyclop-eeze which is a frozen bar of highly specialized zooplankton and I was also wondering if I am supposed to be feeding it phytoplankton as well and if so how many times a week? I'm feeding it the zooplakton twice a week but it's not looking so healthy and the water has been tested and is fine, the lighting is great and all other pieces of reef are looking great. Please help!

How much flow is it getting. It shouldn't be getting blasted, just a little movement on the arms. I have a blue one and I feed it about twice a week with cycloopeeze and it seems to be doing well.... if my stupid clownfish would stop trying to host it :) I've also heard they prefer a slightly dirtier tank than other corals.. this is not a suggestion

It's not getting much flow, just what you said, a little movement on the arms. I just looked up some info on flower pots and it says you should feed it phytoplankton everyday, but doesn't that seem a little much?...

These corals are not very easy to keep. IMO I would say not to feed it every single day, that seems a little extreme. Why do you say its not doing well, is it not extending, how long have you had it?

Is it an alveopora? Twelve fingers on each polyp. If so, I've had mine for about 8 - 10 months. The only food mine gets is some brine, flake, cyclop-eeze or flakes when I feed the fish. Once a day and I don't spot feed. Mine started to retrack the polyps, then I read they like lower lighting. So, I moved mine into a semi cave about midway down under the 250W MH. Now it extends fully every day. I agree with the lower flow area, that's where mine is. HTH

I would say that they should be fed every other day if he is feeding planktonic foods like DT's, oyster eggs or cyclopeeze. These corals come from lagoonal type evironments and need that nutrient rich water to survive. This is the main reason why they are so hard to keep, because most of our tanks are clean in nutrients.

WAY TOO MUCH. That is false information. Maybe dose the tank once a week.
