fluidized-bed filter for carbon or phosphate removing

I am on the market for a non-expensive fluidized-bed filter (or two...) to use it with activated carbon and granulated phosphate removal media like PHOSaR on a new reef tank.

I am currently using two such filters from Two Little Fishies (Phosban Reactor 150) and I am relatively satisfied with them except I have occasional problems with the threaded cap leaking.
Leaking is usually minimal, almost reduced to a source of the salt creep, but it is still there...

Before I get two more of them I was hoping to hear some recomendations from fellow reefers and maybe buy something else.

I looked at online stores to check what is available and I see on marinedepot.com Two Little Fishies Phosban Reactor 150 for $33.59 and very similar looking Kent Marine Phos Reactor for $64.99. I wonder - what is the main difference between them? Is the KENT unit worth the bigger price?

The same online store carries a third similar looking unit called ViaAqua Poly-Reactor (Multi-Media Reactor) priced at $35.99. Do you have any experience this this one?

What do you use in your tanks?

I use the TLF Phosban reactor, but have been considering changing to the Bulk Reef Supply dual carbon and GFO reactor. I have read only good reviews about the product.

Thanks for the tip! It really looks different.

Do I see correctly they use standard 10" containers used for prefilters and DI postfilters in RO systems?

In this case it is great idea!

I have some left over canisters from rebuilding RO unit I can use.
I wonder if I can replace 1/4" RO male-pipe to tube fittings with 1/2" tube fittings they use...

I think they use the refillable DI cartriges inside the chambers. This allows the media to tumble and stay in the chamber.

Yes, this is true. But the other difference is 1/2" fittings instead of standard 1/4" for RO, high pressure installations.

I just got the single reactor from Bulk Reef Supply. Currently running both GAC & GFO in the single. Very pleased with the purchase. Includes flow valve and adapter to hook to a maxi-jet.

i got the two chamber reactor for carbon and gfo and also love it! would definitely get it again!

Thanks for the recomendation everybody - I think I will get the two single units from bulk reef supply. I want to have an easy access to each of them without playing with flow adjusting.
