so I was restarting my tank back up today and when I was done cleaning my fluval I put it back under the tank and started to pump water into it. but then it wasent pumping but after 5 min it did. then when it was done I plugged it i'n and started making the noise that it usually does when it starts up and but the noise wouldent stop and no water is coming out. my tank I's also half filled with water. I never had this problem before. I don't know what's wrong can somebody tell me? I took it apart again and reput everything back i'n but still nothing.

I had the same cannister on my 110. Check the impeller housing. The snap-on cover for the impeller can be a little tricky. Make sure it is seated well.

To make sure there are no obstructions, you can actually hand pump that thing so water comes out of the output in the tank. That also helps determiine if the water level is too low in the tank. Water level should be no more than 4" from the top, I believe.

check your impeller, make sure the clear outer part is pushed in all the way, also might have to prime it more, fully primed you should be able to see water coming out of return tube into tank. thats why i finally took mine off line, fingers tired of all that priming to get rid of air. good luck

wow I just found out that both tubes return and out were opposite this whole time. so I just switched them and it was perfect
