Fluval sp6 too much flow?

I can grab a fluval sp6 for about a hundred bucks in awesome condition.
My tank is 125 gallons with a 55 gallon sump. 3/4 inch returns plan to feed a refugium and 3-4 outlet manifold off the return pump. I have a mag 18 right now but the dang thing is so noisy it drives me nuts. Its about to be the water change pump when I find a new return pump

I've been running an sp6 on my 210 gallon for 8 months. Recently upgraded sump to 100 gallons instead of original 40.

Had it operating on my tank which had 210, 250, & 310 gallon total water volumes at differant times.

Love the SP6. Very quiet, efficient. Have had 0 issues. For that price i say jump on it

You can always install a ball valve to adjust if it's too much

Yeah I just don't want to oversize too much. Plus I will have to reduce from 1 1/4 to 3/4
