Flying with corals?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with flying with corals and crossing the x-ray machine? I didn't know if it would affect the corals or not. I'm not flying for another week and a half, so i'm hoping that the ban on liquids will be lifted by then. I also don't wanna check it in, cuz i heard it can get pretty cold in the cargo hold.
Thanks,

Doubt the ban will be lifted, ever. When has the TSA ever lifted a ban? FWIW, hundreds of hobbyists leaving reef conference like IMAC and MACNA fly every year with frags that passed thru x-rays. Never heard a peep about damage from them.

You could buy a large thermos, not a coffee thermos but the larger ones and use that to put your corals in. That way you just put the thermos in your suitcase and you are good.

Or just use a styrofoam box like the ones they use for shipping and just check the box. A small igloo would work fine as well if you can pack it in a box or something.
