FMAS Frag Swap - August 5th

Mark your calendars, everyone! The next FMAS frag swap will be Sunday, August 5th, 2007. Location is TBD.

If anyone would like to get involved in planning the frag swap, please let us know. The frag swap committee has a handful of members right now, but more are always welcome.

Updates will be posted to this thread as details become available.

We've been busy getting a lot more rare/nice corals to swap. I'm actually gluing down a ton of zoos today.

I was always interested in the frag swap board meetings, unfortunately the emails are sent out the day before. with such short notice it makes it difficult.

I just ordered 200 frag plugs for my new prop tank I am setting up. I hope to have some nice frags available for trade or sale. The last frag swap, being my first, was a alot of fun. I clipped a few frags the night before and made $50 by the end of the day not including the $160 I spent on frags. I also won a maxijet 900 and met alot of fellow reefers. I finally put names to faces of all the people I knew online but not in person.

Multiple stores have expressed interest in being the title sponsor this time around. We're tossing around some ideas to give everyone a fair chance at the title sponsorship. I'll share details as soon as I have the go-ahead.

As always, table sponsorships will be available to all of the stores. Table sponsors get to display their business information, have a banner at their table, etc.

What's wrong with joint or multi sponsorship? A "Title" sponsorship seems a little exclusive.

The shop hop (if the bus had not broken down) was to be divided equally between the participating stores. Why not do the same for the stores participating in the swap? Just a thought.

We'll be doing at the swap what we do every Wednesday night......chopping!!

I think this was just a way of giving the main sponsor store more exclusive rights and more exposure because of the higher payment. You do have a valid point that I will bring up at our next meeting.
