FMAS LPS FRAG GROW-OUT Mpfeiffer1 Update1

Hi GUys,

I got my frag a week ago from Matt D. I was traveling and could not pick it up and may have been under not so great lighting for a while in his frag tank. This was no fault to anyone but myself, However, frag is only now starting to color-up. It is still suffering and I am doing everything I can to turn it around.

Tank Specs:
155 Bowfront with custom 65 Gallon Sump made by Matt D.
Tank is 5 weeks old but has fresh sand and Fresh Live Rock from another set-up. So far all other corals have opened-up right away.
Skimmer 180 SWC
1 MP40, 1 WP40 for flow
Jabao 12000 Return pump
Zeovit Reactor with Zeo Basic 4 for now
8 bulb T5 Light (4 Coral Plus and 4 Blue Plus)
3 LED Cree Fixtures for supplemental Royal Blue for Pop
I try to keep my water similiar to NWS (7KH Alk, 420Calc, 1250 Mag, 8.2PH,0 Nitrates, very low Phoshates but not zero, temp 78-79 degrees)
Have several Mangroves in Sump

Friend and I made the stand and Wife painted the stand Shabby-Chic with SeaHorse Theme. Turned out amazing.

BTW- I didnt mention yesterday. There is nothing wrong with that frag that good water quality and light wont make it a winner!!!

Still alive. Heads are getting brigher anda bit bigger which is a good sign. Still has some recovering to do. No growth to talk of yet...

The color is slowing starting to come back and the eyes are getting bigger and brighter (especially under the LED Stunners). Not too much growth but also no additional recession. Was worried about the bottom losing tissue and that has not happened (knock on wood). Yeah. May move in a few weeks a bit higher but flow is much stronger the more you go up my tank due to the MP40s and WP40s both making waves. Currently about 1/4 way up in a slower flow area.

Looking good Matt. That chalice can handle moderate flow with no issues. Lighting is a different story, it can likely handle more but be careful. I wouldnt worry about bringing it up some.

The tank has become much more stable lately and finsihed the first round of Zeovit. The frag is definately exhibiting more color and the eyes are much brighter. Especially under blues, they really pop. No significant growth but that will come as it gets happier. Remember I was worried about it making it past 2 weeks. LOL...
