Foam Back Walls...Epoxy Resin Coating Over It?

I'm planning on doing a foam back wall on my new setup.

Question is , if using Great Stuff Pond & Stone (this stuff)

Do I still need to put a resin coating over it to protect from UV and protect from deterioration over time?

If I do need a resin coating, which one has proven to work the best?

....(yes it will be used over eggcrate with rocks tied to eggcrate and siliconed to the back wall)

I haven't used the Pond and Stone but regular Great Stuff deteriorates even under indirect sunlight. It darkens and becomes crumbly. I've used dozens of cans to build mountains on a model railroad layout.

The surface of uncarved G.S. is very slick and probably won't hold the epoxy. So carve it to expose the underlying open cell foam and runny epoxy should stick to it better.

I suspect the epoxy will not protect the foam from UV, not sure what to suggest there.
