foam board

I want to put some foam board under my rimless acrylic tank. What color do you buy. The blue or the pink stuff. Does it matter how thick it is? Tank manufacture says I need a piece of polystyrene foam. Is that a fancy work for styrofoam?

I used 1/4" styrofoam I found at Home Depot for insulation purposes. Seems to be working well. There was only one color there: white with blue writing on it.

I used 1/2" (pink) under my tank. I think that is what most people are using.

Or you could get a black yoga mat [got mine at Big 5].
