Foam Rock in a 10gal

Hello All,
My first attempt to make a reefscape from Great Stuff foam was less than successful to say the least.
My wife's comment was, "It looks like a couple of raw chickens dropped in there".
There was no support and the amount used collapsed upon itself and then expanded about three times its original size.
(I knew I should stick to my basics using PVC)

For the next attempt (this evening) I built a basic support with small 1/2'' pvc and some plastic gutter guard. (I should have taken photo's) and then placed a layer of sand in an aluminum turkey pan (throw away) and set the pvc in it; from there I put a single layer on so as to receive less droop and quicker dry times.
About an hour (maybe longer) I checked and it was dry with a very nice natural design/shape.
I placed it on its back and completed the foam filling in the bare spots and extending some overhangs.
I am very pleased with the outcome and will snap a few photo's tomorrow.
This will be the only "rock" for aesthetics; I am going to place a few small pieces from an established tank to help add coralline and bacteria.

Stay tuned...
