I have had my peacock for a few weeks now. He has a 30 gallon with about 10 pounds of live rock and about 2.5 inch sand bed. I have a few snails and a few smaller crabs in there. He loves mysis shrimp and crawdads, but the other day I was experimenting and dropped a feeder fish(goldfish) in. He attacked it immediately and grubbed down. Is this a bad food for a mantis? I try to keep his diet normal but figured a chnage every once in awhile wouldnt hurt. Please tell me if Im sinning!!!

You don't want to feed him any fresh water fish, like guppies, rosies, or goldfish. They can't break down certain things that those fish have in their bodies. Not exactly a good thing for him to eat, but every once in a while it won't hurt him. Just make it few and far between!
