Foodtimer vs Singlecontroller

Can a foodtimer 7602 be used with the Reefpack 500 for the 115V-60Hz filter/circulation pump 1600/2? The foodtimer costs more than the Singlecontroller. Could you use the single controller's foodtimer on the 1600/2?

Thanks,

Gary

The Single Controller only works with electronic pumps- like the 7200/2 ,7300/2, 74002 and 6000 or 6100. It is cheaper because most of the electronics are actually already on these pumps and it doesn't require a swicthed outlet as it connects to the 5pin DIN port on the driver. The foodtimer is for standard pumps of all brands and just switches off the pump for a few minutes for feeding. It has a socket that interrupts the power between the wall outlet and the pump and it has more components.

In the catalog it says the foodtimer is for 230V aquarium pumps. Can it be used with 115V-60Hz pumps?

Thanks,

Gary

I modify them here for 115V. Basically we just change the transformer on the circuit board and install plug adapters.

Off topic but wasn't ghomola the spider boss on one of the Zelda games?

Thanks for your help. I'm not familiar with the Zelda games. If ghomola is the spider boss, it is pure coincidental.
