Football Saturday's in da South

That's definitely true. I don't feel comfortable with Burns being our main rusher. They need to design plays around his ability, though. AU's receivers are not great at getting open, and the O-line is causing Burns to throw quick. If they allow burns to be a threat on the ground, that will open up receivers more.
I'm with you on this one Growurown. If I was betting, I'd put my money on GA. Odds are, AU will come out playing well, and fall apart in the second half. GA will be more constant and pull through in the end.

Who do you guys think will be possibilities for UT head and AU OC ?

Dont know about AU's O.C.

but for the Tenn, job I heard rumors they were going to go after TB head coach John Gruden, and I also heard Will Muschamps name mentioned. It is a premier Job, although it has PREMIER pressure to win

I would like to see Auburn go on probation and have a winning record against Alabama, scholarships have a ton to do with how the game is played due to talent level. So in uttmost entirety I did not get it, though your right I should not have thrashed you on that as much as I did. I just feel like you have said a ton of negative stuff about Alabama and frankly I am tired of hearing about it. Alabama is 10 - 0 and if they were to loose there last 3 games of the year it would still be a good year. Alabama has been at the back of the bus for the last couple of years which has been a more than applicable time for Alabama haters to dish it out. Good luck with the rest of the season and I am sure you will have the last word as you seem like a guy that needs it so feel free, my posts here are done.

But see, you are trying to degrade the quality of Auburn's wins by claiming that Alabama was on probation. Yes they were, but a win is still a win. And if I remember correctly, Auburn did win while on probation in '57 and '58.
I didn't mean to say anything negative about Alabama. My only goal was to comment on the poor shape of Auburn's program this year. No more, no less.
I'm honestly glad that Alabama is having a great season. Alabama, although I'm not a fan, is still a strong reflection on the talent pool, recruiting ability, and traditions of the state. Also, they are a reflection of the performance of the SEC. I would much rather see the SEC and the state preform well than I would to see Alabama's program suffer.

What I don't understand is why so many Alabama fans are sole "Auburn hater". They make excuses to minimize our wins, insult our coaches, players, the fans, etc. And I hate that. I go for Auburn, but I certainly don't hate Alabama. After every loss this year I've received an insulting message or call from Alabama fans, and I'm sick and tired of it. The sad thing is that they don't understand that if Auburn was having a great season, and say Alabama pulls out a win, that further reinforces their right to go to the NC. As it is now, a win over Auburn is not that impressive, and doesn't help either team at this point in the standings (and that's where it really matters).

Please, do not assume what type of guy I am. That's insulting.

If it comes down to UA v UF, Florida's gonna kill them :)

Notice the smiley face. I said some deragatory remarks about Tubs firing Franklin and you jumped on Bama without even knowing what team I support.

???

Yea, I'm pulling for Florida on this one. So?
You admit you said some derogatory remarks about Tubs, and yea I slammed Bama some.
The way I see it, we're even. Good ol' south football discussion.

Why slam Bama when you dont even know if I'm a Bama fan. Maybe I'm a Ole Miss fan. So dont say everybody is Auburn haters when you attacked Saban and Bama without even knowing who there team is.

Whether you're a Bama fan or not doesn't matter to me. If you're going to insult Auburn by comparing them to Alabama, what is so wrong when I come back against Bama?
I never said everyone is an Auburn hater. I don't even know where you got that from....
You made a sarcastic remark about auburn going to a bowl, put words in my mouth, insulted Tuberville many times, etc.

And I honestly don't even know what

is suppose to mean. I'm assuming you meant "I was attacking Bama and Saban without knowing what team you are a fan of". If that is the case, you are a complete hypocrite, and if you don't know why, I'm very sorry....

Hey, here's an Ole Miss fan for bad tidings to Tubby:). Bleeding red and blue, you learn to live with defeat;). As much as I still despise Tubby for the Ole Miss incident (if you can't hold grudges, what fun is college football), he has done very good things for the Auburn program. Same with Fulmer (and being from Tenn, I'm strongly anti UT-I've got a reason for most SEC schools:D). Fulmer did great things with the program. They both have had a few less than stellar years, and everyone is ready to get rid of them. Now, this year, both teams are at a low they haven't hit in some time, but you can't always be the winner. Even B. Bowden has bad years (I think he's still the winningest coach-same holds for JoePa, too, though). I'm ecstatic with having more SEC wins this year than the last three combined, so it all depends on your pov.

I'm sorry, apparently I didn't get the memo from the English Language Word Definition Council when they changed the meaning of "so many" to "everyone".
The overwhelming majority of my friends who are Alabama fans are Auburn haters. They want to see Auburn fail. Period.
My uncle, who is a die hard Alabama fan, pulls for Auburn when they are not playing an SEC team. So not all Bama fans I know are Auburn haters, on the majority.

But really, what I said and obviously what you thought I meant is neither here nor there at this point.

Let's agree we can't agree, and start talking about college football again.

I know what you mean about the grudges gflat. There have been many times I've decided to dislike a particular coach, but I always end up getting over it.
In college football I think if you hold a grudge against everything bad that happens, you just about end up hating just about everyone and everything!
Coaches make mistakes, and it's all very political when you really get down to it, but it's still the most entertaining sport in my opinion. And I think a lot of the drama is what makes it so interesting.
With the rules as they are now, it's almost impossible to continuously have excellent records year after year.

Yep they will be a force to be reckoned with next season. I'd also like to see ole miss do good too. I think the SEC will be incredible next season, with just about everyone from Florida comming back with Ole Miss, Tenn, Miss St., and Auburn doing ALOT better, and the rise of the LSU third string qb! I would also like to see what Alabama gonna do with their qb situation.

I can't wait to watch Ole Miss! They have a ton of potential. Florida should still be great.

Auburn, I don't know what will happen there =/

I'm loving all the Ole Miss props:). I hoped for 5 wins last year, after no more than 4 in any of the three seasons prior (4 wins was rockin during the coach O campaign). Last season was the first time since being an Ole Miss Rebel (17 years) that I didn't say before a game, well, we might play a decent game, noly to lose (aside from one season with Eli).

It should be interesting to see what Bama does? I've always said that John Parker won the games he won simply by not screwing up, not by making that big incredible play. Consequently he tended to putter out in the big games thruout his career.
Next year inexperience might cause us some more losses than this year but maybe McElroy or Jackson might have the talent to eventually beat Florida down and make everyone forget Tebow.
Being a Bama fan has made me sick of hearing his name 30 times a half in every SEC game this year (Even those without Florida playing). He was mentioned more than Brett Favre in a John Madden hosted NFL game. :D
End of the year was sad (Utah???) but overall it's hard to complain in a year we went to the Sugarbowl, beat Auburn and saw Fulmer "retire" and we were predicted to be a 7-5 team.
Nutt at Ole Miss scares me. It's bad enough worrying about Florida and Georgia and a possible Tennessee comeback without thinking Ole Miss might be stepping up to the plate.
Vandy was a fun underdog story while it lasted this year.
Unfortunately it's a long time before College football again and I am getting "honeydo" lists again.

I think Ole Miss swung through the plate this year. Since the Alabama fiasco (he was forced out), we dominated everyone except LSU (only won 31-13 on that one).
