I was admiring your tank this past Saturday and I didn't notice any algae in your tank. I was curious what you were feeding your fish, how often, etc.? Also, do you have emeralds in there to help the cause? Thanks...Chet

On a side note, I was the one who mentioned the blue tort which you corrected me as it was an echinata...let me know if you ever frag it.:D

Hi Chet,

I am pretty bad about feeding that tank, esp. with the anthias in there. They get fed about every other day, with just Spectrum pellet and nothing else. About once a week they get a mix of cyclop/mysis/ON flake all soaked in selcon. I did run a lot of carbon and phosgard, but haven't been for a while. I am getting run to start running ROWAphos or Phosban, and will probably pick back up on the carbon again as well. We have a few emeralds in there right now, but they are slacking a little as a few little pieces of valonia have popped up. We should be getting the echinata's a little more regularly once the new system is cycled. Once it is going we will be able to bring in around 100 - 150 sps pieces at a time.

Thanks for the response Jeremy. I've been meaning to try the Spectrum pellet and maybe I should. My lawnmower blenny grew a liking to the Omega One veggie flakes so I feed the tank probably more than I should. I have a couple pretty nasty patches of valonia, so my nutrients are probably pretty high because of the flake. I have one emerald that eats the crap and another that I've never seen touch it. Well thanks again for the response and you have an awesome little "work" tank.
