Hi there,
I moved from California to Pittsburgh 4 yeas ago with every intension of setting up tanks as soon as I arrived. Ha! (My grandpa used to tell me which road was paved with good intensions.) I sold my glass cages, sumps & what-not before I left Calif., but brought a couple of things to get me started - like lights.
I guess I'm not getting my tank set up, so I'd like to sell my light to someone who can use it. The unit is called a "Tek light 44". For anyone not familiar with the unit, it holds 4 x 4 ft, 54w HO fluorescent tubes, with individual parabolic reflectors that were designed to direct as much light as possible into the tank. There are 2 on/off switches each of which controls 2 of the lights.
The light is really bright, & it uses less electricity & generates less heat than MHs. The unit I'm selling includes 4 working T5 bulbs, but they have been used for more than 12 months, so it would be better to replace the bulbs with new ones; either T5 HOs or the newer LED bulbs that can be used in these units.
I had this over a 90 gallon tank & it was bright enough to grow SPS top to bottom. $150 OBO. Pics available on request.
