I know I'm gonna regret this.

I've always avoided these to such an extent I've never even read the basics. How would I add this to a tank, meaning, does one attempt to "mount" it or do you just set it somewhere as with a clam, for example. What about the mammoth flow? Won't it get blown all over?

I MAY be interested. Someone, please save me from myself and jump in and get to his place before I do. PLEASE!

when i first introduced the RBTA to my tank i placed it on a rock and it never moved. once they find a spot where they are happy they will stay put. even the strongest flow would not be able to move a RBTA once it attaches itself to a rock

Mine hasn't moved in over 2 years, unless it's splitting, like last night. Didn't like the move, I guess. Yea, an anemone for my propogation project! To attach it to a rock, you can try putting a strawberry basket over it & a rock.

How fast do these things usually grow?

depends on how much you feed it. i fed mine once a week and with proper conditions and lighting the RBTA was very happy. grew about 4 inches or so over a years time. feed it more often and it will grow quicker.
