For those about to LED.

Thankfully facts don't change over time.

But technology and applications do.

I did find some misinformation in the article, mainly regarding application. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with wiring your emitters in series, from an electrical standpoint. The article states otherwise.

Are you kidding me?

What facts? LED have change a lot since then. Seems the whole point was to push people away from DIY and onto high led LED fixtures.

You got that vibe too? I was expecting to see a "buy this brand because it's the only one that works" statement at the end.

Nonetheless, there is some decent information in the article that is useful for the LED novice.

I do appreciate everyone's opinions. For those of us out there trying to help others by providing information it's good to hear why the information may not be good.

It should also be pointed out that the author does not understand electronics or LED's LEDs function based on the proper current being used. voltage is just the means to establish the proper current vs the diode junction voltage. They are properly driven by constant current drivers.

sounded like a salesman for aquaray leds there sure was alot of links to those and no others in the add
12 direct liks to tmc aquaray products

I see a lot of your points. Any non-DIY recommendations? I don't have the know how, time, patience, or skill to make my own but want to go LED.

Thankfully facts don't change over time.

Fact - the world was once flat.... What happened to that? Weird, it should still be flat since facts don't change.

That article had a TON of misinformation. I would guarantee the author of the article has ties to TMC.

That is the worst logic i have ever heard...it was NEVER a FACT the earth was flat..it was a BELIEF....Beliefs and Facts are two completely different things.
