For those w/tank in basement

My house doesnt have central air... So when I got my metal halide setup last year, it required me to run my first floor AC unit all afternoon.

Currently finishing the basement and was looking for some insight as to if I am going to have to run a chiller on the tank. Keep in mind, my basement is not totally underground. Just the sides and front as I have a door that exits to the back yard.

Thanks

Sounds Exactly like my setup. I combatted the heat from MH in two ways.

1. I have 1 fan that blows fresh air into the canopy, 1 fan that blows air OUT of the canopy and 1 fan mounted to the top of the sump that blows air across the surface of the sump.

2. I cut one of the flexible A/C lines above the tank and put a "T" inline in order to blow cool air from the A/C unit down onto the tank.

Between the 2 things, my tank stays right around 80 degrees
