I put them on for fish safety. I've seen my tangs pic at algae on the powerheads. I really put them on there for smaller fish, but after seeing the tangs doing that, I'm afraid to remove them.

Hi, could you take acouple of photos of your sump? YOu have the same size tank that I have, and I would be curious to see the set up. What kind of skimmer do you use?

Nothing special for a sump. 40g (give or take) acrylic sump that I picked up for $50. Skimmer is a custom Aqua C EV400. It's shorter than a stock EV400.

WOW! Your tank is beautiful! Really and in just a few months. I just finished getting my 180 up and rolling (flooding actually lol). Are you going to add any LPS? And I noticed that you use a Phosban Reactor. Do you/did you have a algae problem? And I too researched Marine Aquariums for about a year before deciding to do it. But you've done a really great job!

About your Aqua skimmer. How do you like it? I have a Bermuda skimmer and I'm not happy with it. I've heard good things about Aquas and I'm thinking about switching.
