forgspawn question

got a frag of green frogspawn two days ago, it was fine for two days and was out, today i noticed that it was back into its shell and part of it was a purple slime, later in the day i saw my fish eating this purple slime...the frogspawn still has the green eggs on half of its arms but the rest has turned into purple slime, any help would be appreciated? thanks

How new is your tank? Is it fully cycled? What are your nitrate, ammonia levels, etc.?

It sounds like it is dieing off. They like a lot of flow too so think about where it is placed in your tank.

its over a month old and all the water parameters are perfect...its in the direct/indirect flow of my reflector/wavemaker... its placed on a piece of LR in the middle of the tank....

Hmmm....that's really weird. I don't even know what it could be. Maybe you got it in poor condition and it is just continuing its decline?

thats what I was thinking, my roommate said when he asked for it at the LFS the guy gave him a frag that didnt look as good as the rest...today I found out that it fell off the LR so I am still considering one of the inhabitants was messing with it...

they do not need tons of flow. if it gets too much flow it will close up and so there fore not eat and you know that leads to.

i will be getting another one tomorrow so I will try another spot and hope for the best...
