Fork Tail Blenny (Yellow Tail Fang Blenny) not eating...

I recently purchased a Fork Tail Blenny for my 28g Nano (been cycled for a little over a month) from a LFS. She is a beautiful fish and looks and acts very happy, but she doesn't eat anything I feed her. She grazes off the LR often (I started the tank with established LR from my DT and had a pretty healthy population of pods by the time I added fish), but I don't see the pods population sustaining her eating habits. I also have a Purple Firefish and small Yellow Watchman Goby in there that eat just fine. The Blenny won't even pay the food any attention, even when it floats right by her nose. I have tried feediing a couple different flake foods, brine shrimp, and a frozen veggie mix (green sea weed mix that comes in one of the frozen food variety packs).

Everything that I read about them suggest that they are hardy and easy and eat a variety of foods. Will she come around once she runs out of pods? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I just got a yellow fork tailed and it also did not eat but looked healthy grazing on live rock. This morning, I crumbled up some NutraFin Color Enhancing Flakes and swished the crumbled up food in water as I released it so it floated as a small cloud of particles down. As they went by the Fork Tailed Blenny, she grabbed multiple bites. She ate none of the other frozen protein food and I also hung Nori in the tank. But I was happy to see her eat the flake food at least once.

Give it time. I bought a pair of fang blennies, for the first two and a half weeks neither ate, then eventually the female began ferociously eating. The male went well over a month withou touching prepared foods, but now accepts meaty fare very heartily. If it appears otherwise healthy and is hunting for critters in the tank, it will probably eventually come around.

With mine it literally went from 0 interest one day to viciously assaulting the food in a frenzy the next.

Good luck!!
