Hey everyone! I got a forktail blenny today and he is eating frozen foods thankfully!

Anyways, has anyone ever been bitten by one? What does it feel like and anything I should be worried about? I know they are venomous.

Thanks!

I believe their venom's potency is similar to that of a bee sting, but they only employ their fangs in extreme cases of stress and peril. The only time's I have heard of people being bitten is when handling them out of water (i.e. transferring them to a tank). So use a net! Awesome fish though, I just think people are wary of them due to their questionable name. I've got a striped fang in quarantine right now, and would love to get my hands on a forktail as well :fish1: Good luck :bum:
