Formalin Dips

Hello all,

I am use to during the Formalin dips ,but we're doing it with one fish in a 5 gallon bucket. I have four fish that are around 1.5-2 inches. I was wondering if I could dip them at the same time for the 50 minutes or 1 by 1. I do have a spare 10 gallon tank if necessary. With my work schedule and family time, it's going to be a little hard to do each fish for 50 mins (4 hours). Reasoning for bath is the fish are flashing on the PVC pipe every now and then..they are on their 4 transfer and 2nd round of Prazi-Pro. They are eating but not like i want them too. Dont see any visual signs of velvet or ich, besides the flashing. I do see one flicker every now and then. Thanks all

Also, if I have to do them 1 by 1 can I use the same water or do I have to change it each time?

4 fish at once is no problem. I've done that quite often. The only limiting factors are aggression and oxygen supply. Due to the latter you may need a larger container when dipping multiple fish instead of just one.

The dipping water should never be reused as parasites may fall off the fish, but not necessarily die.

Thanks..I always do a 5th transfer..I will do the bath then straight into the 5th transfer
