Found a colony, Looking for a range of ideas to optimize growth and development

Just found a colony of Zoa's hiding in my rocks, was wondering if any of you guys had some tips that worked for you. Really hoping to get a range of ideas so that I can have a few things to try as well as what is coming from this reefkeeping for dummies book my gf got me.

Make sure you've got a good reef light for them, to begin with.
Deep any new incoming zoa prior to introduce to your tank.
Learn about predators and infections/ treatments.
Keep water parameters on it's best and stable.
Try feed them dry coral food.
