The DQ King
Hey all.
So my brother called me about a month ago and said he got a new frag from a fellow reefer on here. The guy sells a TON on here and vouches he has no aefw, nevertheless my brother did NOT tell me he was ordering anything and isnt the sharpest when it comes to corals. So i went over to his house to check out his tank and noticed little circular bite marks. Ive had aefw before in my old tank and i pitched the frag asap. turned out that was the only thing with it on there.
So this frag has been in here i would say a little over a month (times a blurr when im working these insane hours so forgive me) Everything else looks fine... ie no bite marks, cant see any eggs, coloration is there, PE is amazing. Everything except this little frag. Its been browned out, and PE was bad(millie) so i looked closer, pulled it off the rock, dipped it in a super concentrated revive dip (i didnt care if i killed it, rather 1 then 50 sps) Found a aefw... just 1, but looked like a adult. He was decent sized. I tossed the frag and checked every other coral in the tank. They are all either frags (4" ish / mini colonies. I cant see anything else. The frag i tossed (G.Hillers Palula) was sitting right next to a tri color and i know aefw is a big fan of them. Most the sps are encrusted on the rock. What would u suggest? I check then most everyday because its on my way home and im obsessed with the damn sticks! haha.
Soooo...
should i start basting?
or
leave it and see if i notice any other bites then yank the coral out / dip / dip / dip / check
Any opinions are apprecited
sorry for the lengthy book i wrote
