So I was at a LFS by my work had to get some Fish food and I saw a s.gigatea there. It look good so I ask how much and he told me $ 20 I then ask him if he would take $ 10 and he said sure . That there was a no brainer I jump all over it I'm really happy . The foot is Green it looks like it is recovering from being Bleach and if you look at it at an angel you can see like a neon green with tan and a little purple ether way I'm happy . Just hope it does well in my tank . Please tell me what you guys and girls think .

Not too sure what to think right now . My wife just sent me a picture of the carpet does this look normal for being in the tank less than 24 hrs ? Is it just acclimating ?

An underside pic would be helpful to confirm it's gigantea and not an Atlantic carpet. And deflating in the first days isn't unusual.

Purple veracues belong to giganteas and not the dreaded Atlantic.
Looks like you have got yourself a steal! A deal of the century if that thing survive the acclimation and thrive.

Well that is great new for me then . I really hope it makes it i love the look of this Nem . When should i try and feed maybe wait a week ?

I'm the wrong person you want to ask that. I don't feed my anemones as often asost people. Especially a newly added and deflating gig. I would wait at least 2weeks and when the gig is in a stable condition.

Perfect I will do just that . Thank you so much for your fast replies .

How often do you feed your gig and haddoni? Just curious.

Good to hear it has purple dots, indeed. The Atlantic Stichodactyla doesn't have a very good reputation (eats fish and stings things potently).

I don't remember when was the last I fed them. I think I made a video of it when I last fed them. Close to 5months now(?). Not sure.
With enough night and flow, I don't think it's required that you feed your anemone.

If you dont mind me asking what kind of lighting do you have ?

4 strips of Elos estripes LED. I'll be adding more strips soon when Elos have them in stock. I have the light about 3" off the water right now. I like to raise it up to at least 6" for aestetic appearance of the tank but it would be too dim. I'm adding more strips so I can do that.

How much are the strips i would like to swich from T5 to LED Are they stong enough for SPS ? Do you have a web site ?

I don't have a website but Elos website is here.

It's best to contact Jesse at telephone number you see on the website. They are in northern CA.
With LED starting to becoming more mainstream, I think you'll have a lot more choices to choose now.
