I have a 180g FOWLR which has seen an Ich outbreak (possible from a temp drop as no livestock additions have been made to this tank in months)
I am thinking to use a hyposalinity treatment by removing all live rock from tank (and snails) to QT and lowering the salinity in the display tank.
Should I add a canister filter to the sump to provide biological filtration since all rock is being removed.? Would it be sufficient to just continue to run my needlewheel skimmer which has sponge tube on the output?
