FOWLR ideas

Hello everyone

I have been thinking about setting up a FOWLR tank. I was thinking about a 75 gallon tank. Im not exactly sure what i would like to stock it with.
I have some ideas but still not exactly sure of all the options there are for a 75 gallon.
I would really like to keep a snowflake eel and a triggerfish. i know many of you will say the a 75 gallon is small for a triggerfish but is there any way or kind of triggerfish i could possibly keep? The triggerfish is my favorite!!

Also can someone suggest other interesting fish that can be kept in this sized tank.
please post links that can help me

Thanks

i had an 80gal FOWLR that had a snowflake eel , fuzzy dwarf lion, zebra lion and some damsels. as for a trigger you can try a picasso but i believe it will out grow that tank as will all triggers. if your not limited by space you can go with a 125 instead and keep a trigger.

i had a clown trigger in a 55 for a long time and never had any issues besides him destroying everything he came in contact with....

triggerfish

triggerfish

How about a Bluejaw Triggerfish....they are colorful and one of the smaller triggerfish. They are also not as aggressive as many other triggers.

Undulate. They just lurk, not a lap swimmer. Spend the money on the right equipment so that it looks sweet in there with coraline!!! Killer skimmer ($200-350), good lights ($200-350), ro/di unit ($200 or so), phosphate reactor (not sure on $).

Could be sweet.

Thanks i looked up the bluejaw trigger fish and they are awesome they have great colors. But will one be ok in a 75gallon?
heres a link to the site i found

Also I am a kinda limited with space becuase i would like to have the tank in my room but it can be no longer then 4ft max.
BUT i do have lots of room in the basement but the tank wouldn't get much attention unless i moved my room down there. which wouldn't be so bad but it would be a pain.

another thing is i am not looking to spend TONS and TONS of money

but keep the help coming

but so far would this be possible for a 75 gallon
1 snowflake eel
1 bluejaw triggerfish

If yes what else could i keep?
If no what else could i keep? haha

don't know about your question, sorry

but, have you ever thought of looking into some sort of species tank, or maybe some puffers or lions? Idk I don't have much experience with FOWLRS other than what I have read... just some thoughts GL!

if you can afford it and dedicate the time for feeding/water changes I'd say check out some cephs extremely cool critters IMO. I feel I am too busy to take care of one atm though....

honestly I no nothing at all about anglers, but they seem like cool fish as well

or a flashliht fish tank = D that would be very different, I havn't heard of anyone with those yet, anyway GL!!!

The only trigger I can see in a 75 for life is an undulate (maybe). Blue jaws are way too active swimmers. Undulates are gorgeous fish, but not compatible with other fish. You may be able to get by with a snowflake eel and an undulate, as long as there is plenty of cover for the eel and you have adequate filtration. I'd invest in a sump and a really good skimmer.

What kind of fish do you like? Are you looking for color or personality or both? When you go to the pet store or a public aquarium, what kind of fish do you stare at obsessively? A tank is a big investment, it should have the fish you like best in it.
