I know foxfaces have been known to prey on corals which is why I suspect my foxface is the one responsible for my feather duster worm's mutilation. The duster had been extremely reclusive lately, I never saw him at all and his tube seemed to be deteriorating. Today I noticed the foxface "mouthing" the remains of his tube, not eating or tearing, just mouthing it with no obvious damage. The worm was still in the process of regenerating his tube from a previous incident which makes fish predation all the more likely. Does anyone have experience with something like this who can give me some advice? Also, would a worm with a healthy tube survive the foxface?
