Foxface training

Hi
I have been fighting against a bubble algae nightmare for 6 months.

I bought a foxface a month ago but he just eats a few flying bubbles. Bubbles seem to be too hard for him, he tries to pick them from the rocks but he did not a big work for now.

Plague is total, all rocks are covered of bubble algae so i want to try a different strategy. There is nothing more to loose: Masssive popping...

Yesterday I started to pop bubbles with a stick inside the tank in a small zone, just scraping all bubbles inside this zone and 1 minute later my foxface started to eat bubbles, not only flying bubbles, bubbles from the rocks too [emoji54] [emoji54]. Minutes later he returned to his normal behavior.

So I'm thinking.. is it possible to train my foxface to eat them? just helping him, scraping them from the rocks... I know the standard post is "never NEVER pop bubbles inside the tank" but the plague is so bad that nothing worse can happen. Anybody has seen this behavior on foxfaces? Anybody won the battle just popping them?

(also tried emmeralds but... too many bubbles for them)

Thanks!
