Foxface with damsels

Hi everyone,
My frag system I decided to run with damsels only because I love damsels. Problem is damsels aren't the greatest herbivores and I have a bit of an algae issue in the tank. My display which is tied in to the same system has no algae and I attribute this to my tang. I'm not interested in GFO use and prefer to go with biological control and I was wondering if a Foxface would do ok with damsels. I think they are beautiful fish and would love to add one, but worry about my aggressive damsels.

Foxfaces need swimming room. Unless you have a 100gal frag tank, it's probably not a good option. How about a sea urchin?

I had a couple of pencil urchins who would not only knock over frags, but rip apart puttied-together rocks and corals and knock over whole formations of live rock. I liked them and they did a good job with the algae, but I don't think I'd get them again.

What damsels?
Perhaps just some snails?
