Foxface

I have a 75 gallon with a larger coral beauty, royal gramma, flame hawk, and clownfish. I would like to add a foxface since I have been told it will eat my caupula (sp) which is growing rampid in my tank but know little about it. Can anyone tell me if this is a good fish, to small of a tank or if the LFS guy was bs'ing me.

I like one spots. One I have now will spit water at me when I'm near the tank to get food.
A one spot foxface will certainly eat your caulerpa and any other macros.
It is also a passive fish and gets along with anyone not aggressive to it.
Then it just shows the poison fins and most fish say, no thanks.

Well. don't get a full grown one. A small 2-3 in. fish would be ok for a while I would think. I think 5 fish in a 75 is ok.
But hey, I'm just some guy on the internet, so YMMV.

I love my foxface... full of character. He is big however, and produces a LOT of waste. I would hesitate to put one in a 75gal. That said, min tank size is listed at 70gal for these guys.

FWIW, I bought mine little (4" or so) and he is currently around 7" and growing. I've had him less than 2 yrs. He eats a full sheet of nori to himself each day and poops out what seems like an equal amount. At least I get my monies worth out of my skimmer with him around! :D
