Frag A Goniopora?

Haha

Haha

John,
I do hope you are right, I agree that fragging gonis is a pointless thing and our best bet is to do just what you said, let them grow on there own. Maybe in five years we will have a good strain out there that is more tolerant of our systems. Best of luck to everyone :)

That's just goes to show how much we came in the last few years. Awesome!!!

There are several "Red" species of Goniopora that are more reef tolerant than the "Green" species. That much was known 5 years ago. At the time, the "green" were more common and popular than the "red", but they were more difficult to keep. Now, the "red" are becoming more common and popular because the information has spread that they are "hardier" and easier to keep than the "green".....which is pretty much true. Time will tell whether or not a particular strain of a particular "red" species is easier to keep than other strains of the same species (There are different species that have red colored polyps).

Real advancement still has to be made at the husbandry level, and there is still a ton of confusion and marketing hype swirling around, and around, and around, and around, and around, and around. That hasn't changed...
