I am neck deep in Frag Farmer's Market preparations and once again need the help of all of my CT, and New England, brothers and sisters. As is a tradition at this point, I have run into a number of people over the last few weeks who have never heard of the FFM- which really annoys me. I need you guys to help me out here!
Help me to make this the best FFM yet by getting the word out about it. Here is what I would like you guys to do for me:
-Find the FFM threads around the forums (here and elsewhere) and post in them. Show pictures of what you are bringing, share what it is like, post what you are looking for, whatever. Get more buzz going in those threads.
-Find a forum that does not have a thread for the FFM and make one. If you need the image for it, just shoot me a PM or an email and I will get it to you. Not everyone does RC, lets make sure that they know about the FFM as well!
-Talk it up at your local pet store. There are SO MANY people who don't know about these forums, or the local reef clubs, who have no way of knowing that these events even exist.
-Put a flyer up, or a pile of flyers into, the shops in the area. If you are in a shop, mention it to them and put a flyer up Brian has been printing them for the FFM the past few years. If you are going out to one of the shops in the area, or outside the area, bring some along with you
-Facebook, twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc... the heck out of it in the next month. As a teacher, I don't use any of these really, for a number of reasons, but everyone else does! Take the ad and post it all over social media. Join the Facebook group that Brian set up. I will get more info up there as we get closer.
Last year we had over 1000 people in attendance and the FFM is starting to attract more and more companies who want to come out- including some that you guys really want to come out! Lets get that number of attendees even higher this year! I just want to make sure that everyone with a salt water tank from here to the Mississippi knows about the Frag Farmer's Market, and I need your help doing it.
If you guys need anything from me, or have thoughts on how to better spread the word about the FFM, shoot me a PM!
Thanks-
Jon
