Are any Quad City people planning on going? If so maybe we can get a carpool together. The weather on the extended forecast doesn't look bad, but that's subject to change. Time to get those kitchen passes.

Unfortunatelly I am out. Way broke, but I did just start a new business so I should be able to out bid everyone by the time our auction rolls around.;)

Congrats on the new bus. Covey. What are you going to be doing? Salesman for Octopus skimmers?

Depending on what I find at rockford I may still be broke at ours! :rolleye1:

They should give me a cut.

No, I work at Granite City as a sauce cook. I am a well paid cook. Doesn't mean much most cooks don't make jack.

Anyway they use private contractors to clean the front of the house floors at night when no one is there. They have gone thru quite a few of the big name cleaning companies in the QC but there standards are not high enough for GC taste.

They tried to set up a cleaning crew with people from work and the could do the work but the put a 19 year old in charge of the money. Anybody guess how that went?

So there was a $2000 a month contract floating around with no one willing to take control. Duh. ME me me me.

Not exact what I had planned for a career but there handing me a business with near zero start up cost, decent employees, and good size contact to start.

So I am still going to cook, do like 20hrs of cleaning a week and sleep when....... sleep when I am dead.

GC has great food. I did the phone systems at the locations and they are always good to the Contractor's that set them up.

Gratz Covey!

I am planning on going to the Rockford frag swap.
I am going up and back the same day, even if I have to leave real early.
If someone wants to tag along thats fine, lets talk to make sure our plans work out....

I am in green bay Tue and St.Louis Wed home Thurs eve and friday but will check in here while on the road...

I wouldn't mind jumping in on the carpool. It is only about an 1 1/2hour drive isn't it?

Yes, Rockford's about 1 1/2 hours away. Not a bad drive, I used to take my kids to the waterpark. I drive an 06 Honda Civic, it can hande 2 comfortably, up to 4 with discomfort. The trunk can handle one with a couple coolers for frags and equipment.

If we leave around 8:00 that should leave plenty of time to get their by 10:00. If we stay for the entire day, we should be able to make it home by 6:00.

I would really like to go, don't know if my 75 will be ready for some stuff yet or not. On the other hand, I bet someone will have some LR for sale there. :)

Make it Modemagic, wife, and kids. Got a link to the posting for the fragfest for directions, an address, or something of the sort? :)
