Frag genealogy

There been a few post lately about getting local frag and since its pretty common method of adding coral I was wondering to myself how interesting the genealogy of some of these frags would be. We all know of several local morphs that make the rounds, but I wounder how much of my coral in some part of its history has been in others tanks, or is "related" to others. It could be an interesting and complicated family tree.

Anyone else have these odd thoughts, or it it just me and my lack of sleep?

"morphs"

"morphs"

Two of the most common are "Todd's tourch" and "red planet". It is interesting that things like Xenia (which shipped poorly) at one time was hard to get. Now, Over the last 10 years it is almost always grown locally.
I think it is great to pick up locally grown stuff, I don't like it when people name it so they can jack up the price. Alot of the green candycane has stayed in the club for awhile.
