Frag Gluing Techniques

Tried the method posted above earlier today, and it seems to work really, really good!!!! Quick and easy!! A lot cheaper than the putty at the LFS, too. And that 2 part is already rolled into one "log" of putty - you just have to knead it. This other stuff I had came in 2 logs, and you can to cut them both equal length, then put it in the microwave for a few seconds, then knead...PITA.

I also clipped the end off a frag plug like suggestd above, and caught one of my fingers with the side cutters. There was blood and stuff. Some cussing, too. It was bad.

Glad the method worked out for you, sorry to hear about the fragged finger. Did you mount the clipping back with some superglue?

I use a masonry bit and a cordless drill to drill a small hole about 1/8 to 1/4 into the plug (or rock, I like rocks). Then, I only use about 1 or 2 drops of glue in the hole for the frag. The hole keeps the glue from running all over the place and also holds the frag upright.

Obviously, this won't work very well on encrusting or LPS coral.
