FRAG MEET: July 12th 2008

STRS will be having a frag meet at my house on July 12th 2008 from noon to 4pm. Refreshments will be provided. All reef keepers, their families, and vendors are welcome to attend free of charge. Vendors will need to bring their own extension cords and may need to bring their own table, please PM me for details. I will not be planning any demos for this frag meet but if others want to set something up that is fine by me. I have already been contacted by one vendor who mentioned they may like to do a door prize but I will let they post the details here in this tread.

This frag meet is open to all STRS members/lurkers/vendors and any surrounding clubs including but not limited to URS, URSNY, FLR, NCPARS, NNYRS, SRC, CDMAS, etc.

Please post here if you plan on attending and how many will be joining you. Don’t be shy to join us, if you don’t already know me I am a really nice guy any and the more people at my frag meets the merrier!

Piazzon introduced me to this site, and I've already learned alot from reading different threads. I would love to come to the frag meet. I'm a newbie to all this, with just setting a 55 gal tank back in January. I'm more imto the live rock and corals. I'm hooked. I also have an outdoor koi pond. I work with Piazzon in Owego, though from PA I'm familiar with the Binghamton area. The thing i've found hardest, with not much internet use, is finding different suppliers in which to find and converse. At any rate, I'd love to be able to check out the meet, if allowed. Adam sent me a pic of a tank I believe he was putting together for the zoo? I ran into him a few weeks ago after work in Vestal, thats what got us on the subject of having a similiar interest. Told him I'd be bugging him for knowledge. I think I've found a new awesome hobby! Look forward to meeting you as well.

Welcome to STRS Michelle :thumbsup: Adam is a great guy to know when you are just getting into the hobby. He really knows his stuff and is a great guy! Feel free to ask any questions you have here and we hope to see you at the frag meet.

Tim no problem I am sure you didn't offend anyone in STRS. Since I personally invited Tim to the frag meet I think he should be able to post things he has for sale but I understand that it is against RC policy so if anyone is interested in what Tim will have at the frag meet you should PM or email him. I am sure I speak for everyone when I say STRS is glad you can make it to the meet :beer:
