Frag plugs caused brown algae?

I purchased some SPS frags and each frag was attached to a frag plug. Recently there has been brown algae outbreak but only on the frag plugs and two sps frags. Is this normal? Do new frag plugs need to cure?

Nitrate: <5
Phosphate: < 0.25

How long has your tank been established. A brown algae bloom is sytomatic of less then quality water that sps's need to grow in. The algae growing on the plugs is okay but not if starting to grow on the tips.

The tank has been established for 4 months. I was thinking of doing a few water changes in the up coming days.
