I forgot to add that if we did one in October or early November, we could it as a gauge for interest in a larger one (more like what we are used to seeing) in the April time frame-splitting the ETRC and MTRC interval. By then, we would have more structure, if even just as a social group.
Social meetings can serve as swap fodder, too. Every meeting even before we were MTRC was a chance for people to build wish lists from other local reefers and swap at the meetings. This lead to wanting more variety in coral, so we branched out to try to bring in more different regions.
I tend to muddy the water with my incessant ramblings, but let me know your thoughts. If we start meeting somewhat socially and discuss theoptions of forming a more formal club (or staying the same-in either case, if there is money involved, there needs to be multiple people identified as leads for liability, etc.). Frag swap discussions would be easier with more input instaneously. We'd be willing to offer our house up for a social meeting, if there is interest. We got upwards of 30 people in our house in Nashville and have a bit more room here
. What do you all think?
sounds like you know what you're talking about. I know you've done this quite a few times. All this information you've provided, sounds very good. Let me know if you need any help
