Frag tank

Pumping water up to make up for siphoned off water is a disaster waiting to happen. If you are just looking for consistency between the systems, consider a continuous water change system. Use one dosing pump to pump water out of the sump down to the frag tank which can overflow to a drain, then a second dosing pump will pump fresh salt water from a storage container up to the sump at the same rate. You can set the timing of the pumps to do a gallon per day and that would give you a 30g/per month water change. Just be sure to use a float switch to stop the pumps if the new water gets low.
