Frag Tank

Well after a lot of thinking I put the frag tank in the house and to day I got it going its a36x18x16 40g breeder with a 30sump with 3/4 over flow just a PVC pipe. 2 20watt Coralife light's 1 is a CL 50/50 50%natural daylight 6000K 24 inch 20w 11/2" T12 and the second is a 24inch 20w 11/2" T12. The light's are just for the time untill i can afford MH's for the tank. Naw I need to get some frag's and live rock's to get is started and this is what it look's like.

I cant wait to see haw it will do and see the frag grow in time. If you have eney frag LMK. Thanks Scott (ET) for the 1 frag to start with and the frag for Brie's reef tank..:D :D
 
Im going to go with zoas and i want a little bird's nest and maybe a leather or 2or4 i have a 4" green button palup rock with 40palup's on it I do want ASAP is some green stars to go up the PVC pipe so it dont look so bad. I want to do a flower tank and frag the zoas and leather's and give some to the members and newbies.

The fish will like it when I get some fish to put in the tank but I'm not going to have eney fish in the tank for 3or4 months I want my pod's to get a head start be for eney fish get put in. Cliff (Reefjerk) helped with the pod's I put the chaeto in the tank for the night and thin I shuck out all the pod's and mini star fish and mysis's that was in the chaeto and I put some of the muck out of the sump/fuge that I got from Tim (Huhhhhh) in the tank to. So in 3or4 months it will be good to go naw I need to get a little protein skimmer for it I'm going to try and make one for it in the next day or so what would be a good size for a 40g tank.
 
Beached SPS, those are hard to find and they are usually not alive by the time the wash up on the beach. Leave it. :)
 
I have some bleached out corals for ya lin. I luv bleached out corals, I thibk i'm gonbna start adding bleach to my tank and make everything whotre from noe iwn
 
I got the tank from Scott 2week's ago and i love it it's been fun to play with i put 1. 175w 14k MH on it to day and it look's grrrrate naw.
reefkoi i will take some of your BLEACHED out corals for the tank naw that i have the MH on it LMK..

Went in and saw Scott, but was a lil disapointed in the price. I may still get the tank from him, but deffinitely not the stand.

Just curious, but does the 40g breeder have a center brace?
 
No it dont have a center brace that's why I went with it it's ezer to work in with out the brace. Like i told you if you get a tank I will make you a stand for it eney way you want it you just get the wood and i will do thr rest
 
I'm glad to see you removed that rock. I was looking at those first few photos better, and it looks like there is some granite in there as well !
Did you get that from the yard?

yes i just put them in to see haw i wanted the live rocks i will have updat pic's of the frag tank and the reef tank to night after im fineshed with all my WC's I would post some of Brie's but it's not doing eney thing yet I dont have much in it to
