Frag yes or no ??

Should I frag my ARC Campfires and sell a few before that(whoever it is) in Toronto that has been shipping them everywhere floods the market?

They are pretty fast growers and in the long term I do not see them holding their value??

Is it worth taking the chance of fragging a mini colony??

Corals rarely maintain their value over time. Todd's Torch has for the most part. But most things will lose value as more people acquire and grow them. If you have a buyer--go ahead and sell a frag. At the very least, you might recuperate the funds you spent on a coral--then any additional frags you make will be profit!

depends on how many you have. unless you have to spare, enjoy what you have. if you have an abundance, make some money back!

you could cut the 10 polyps in half. sell half. and regrow the other half. in due time, unless they melt, you will have 10 again, and it will be like nothing ever happened. except the money you made on the frag.

jm $.02 tho

I agree with with Dan, but the possibility of them melting is scary. If you have only 10 polyps I would at least keep them. Maybe frag a head or two and put them in different parts of your tank to see if they would grow faster or different colors/morph.

The campfires are palys and not zoas, correct?!? The palys I have seem to grow much faster than zoas, so you should be able to frag in no time. I'd definitely be interested in a couple polyps once you decide to frag.

A word of advice on Campfires. They don't like the spread out. They grow on top of each other, to the point where they choke out. I lost my big colony of them. The small frags seem to do better. I've heard others have similar problems with these palys and the Nightmare palys, which are very similar.
