How big does an Acropora branch need to be before I frag it?

I don't frag any until I have multiple branches. If u cut the new growth off to early u end up back with only the original piece you started with. It never gets a chance to grow

General rule of thumb is 1 inch.

also know that as you frag them,especially if they arent very big to begin with,it will grow scar sections and it will start to look just silly...they can become clumps..or balls of coral...lfs here fragged their oregon blue tort so many times it doesnt even look like an acro anymore.
