fragging large toad stool in tank

I have a very large toadstool that is on a large rock that cannot be removed.

Can I frag the leather in the tank since it cannot be removed?

It is a 92 gal mixed reef tank with fish.

You can, but the thing with leathers is they can secrete a mucous that's toxic to corals and fish, and when you frag them in the tank they'll really let it fly. If you run carbon and do a water change after you may be ok though.

I frag leathers in my 180 regularly. I typically only make one or two cuts per day.
