fragging my shroom.

so i plan on fragging my shrooms.
tell me if i am doing anything wrong plz.
i am going to cut it in the mouth so there are 2 pieces of shroom with some mouth on both pieces
do i cut straight down the middle even through the foot?
and how long does it take to heal ?

yup get a brand new exacto blade and cut it straight across the middle, you can even cut it into quarters if you really wanted too

Yeah you can cut into as many pieces as you would like, as long as the mouth is in each piece. You can cut the shroom off at it's base and the foot could possibly heal itself into another shroom.

i fragged it today and its guts went everywhere. i don know if it supposed to do that?

Yeah it spits all over the place. You should be able to tell in a week if it's healing or not. i know when I fragged one of my shrooms I could tell the next day that it was healing. It was almost a complete circle again with about 3 days.

i put them in a tray about 6 inches apart and i come home and it looks like they were trying to re attach, but they do look healthier.

what kind of mushie..just courious.. i learned on a greenstriped watermelon..that way i wasent worried about if it died on me..an it made good practice..

If you're going to Frag pie-style (Cross-sectionally) rather than "Head-lopping" (laterally, leaving the original foot in place), you're bound to put tons of "ooze" into the water.

Don't forget to do a Water Change IF you frag in the tank like that.

Personally, I prefer the guillotine method for ease of recovery, to minimize the mess, and the speed of success.

i took if off the lf and cut straight down the whole mushroom even the foot is that wrong?

nope.., thats correct..i like in half better than the pie method..
