Fragging Zoa's and Payls

I have a cluster of Zoa/Palys and am wanting to frag them back. How should I go about this? Usually when I frag Zoa's I cut at the base, but these are very mixed and overlapping. How much of the base do I have to leave? Any ideas or thoughts are welcomed. If it would help I can shake them a little to make them retract and then take a picture.....

How many polyp frag you want cut? Anyway, cut thru the base will be ok. If you never frag them before, try to frag them in big number like group of 3 or 5 polyp.

Im thinking 90% of it. But I want to try to keep a few that have spread to random rock.
