Fragging

I have an ORA Purple Stylophora which I have had since he was a nub. Now he is big enough to start fragging a couple of limbs off of. Problem is, he is fastened to a big rock anchored under others. Safe to just get my stainless steel clippers and cut off an arm or two underwater?

i know, i could probably get this info by searching the boards, but it has been slow in here today. Trying to drum up conversation.

Just start clipping off pieces you want to turn into frags.

I know some people PMed me asking about a chunk of this. Will donate a couple of frags to the CDP. Available tomorrow at the PN. Will clip them off then. Will make atleast 2 available.

Was not able to find anything similar on CDP boards. CDP god, can i get a ruling on if its a new coral?
