Frags FS/Wanted Frags

Keaton left home two weeks ago today to start his freshman year at TTU (studying biology...for now). The day he left he fragged a green finger leather that was taking up too much real estate. To say he fragged it is somewhat misleading. It was a massive colony that is now 3 large colonies and 2 fair sized colonies. I have them set up in a nano in the kitchen and would really like to see them gone on 9/19 or sooner :)

Here is the image of the original colony he got from snakemanvet a couple years ago:

The "frags" are about this size. By my estimation the stalks are about 1-1/2 in diameter and the coral is about 10-12" tall. He would like to get $25 each. He will take $10 each for the smaller ones. They were fastened to rubble but I think most of them have come loose because the corals were so huge compared to the rubble.

He also has 6-7 small sarcophyton frags. These are babies that dropped off this coral that also came from snakemanvet:

One is a decent size (maybe 1-1/2 diameter) and he'll take $10 for it. The small ones are pretty small and he wants $5 each or 3/$10. They are fastened to rubble and ready to go.

Finally, he has two single heads of the neon green candy cane that I think neuroslicer and barrett have had in the past. I forgot to ask him how much but I'm gonna say $15 each if that is fair. If its not, let me know. I can't find a picture of it in his aquarium folder, but if you need to see one, I'll look some more. Trust me, this is screaming neon green.

We also have a few frags of purple clavularia that Dave has in his show tank and I could probably manage to frag some of the green clavularia that you can see in the background of the first picture :)

The bottom line is that we're just trying to get rid of these to make room and raise cash for new stuff from the frag swap! They can be picked up from here or I can bring them the morning of the swap if that works better. Prices are negotiable if you think they are high or if you buy several. (Please, buy several...)

We are looking for a very pink pocillopora and a true yellow acro. Anyone have either?

Thanks,
Pam (keaton's mom)

They grow up so fast, I remember when he was just a little lad with a pico and tons of xenia.

I will be glad to...happy to see it making its way back to Trenton!

Probably most of you don't realize how the last two posts connect. When Keaton first got started with corals, it was snakemanvet that sold him a ton of livestock. We still have the open brain, two sarcos, the sinularia, two clownfish a yellow tang, several mushrooms...oh and xenia :)

He was so excited when he got the corals from snakemanvet but at the same time he was worried sick over them. I remember the day he came home from school to find a "finger" of the sinularia sucked up in a powerhead. He was panicked and certain he had killed it...especially after he got it out and the coral wadded up into a fist of anger :) Of course he didn't know then that it was tough as nails.

Between that start and neuroslicer giving him a ride to the Nashville frag swap, the club members really helped encourage his passion. sperry, the pico is the kitchen frag tank now! And duke has the old 55. I know that tons of you have frags that you have graciously bought from my boy to support this addictive habit. And more of you have sold him/given him hardware and livestock just because he was a kid. (You know who you are!) I really do appreciate all of that.

I know it is only a matter of time before I admit I'm going to have to join the club and quit riding along on his coattails :)

My wife really liked the green finger,it was her favorite, she will be glad to hear that i am getting some more.I remember that day very well, keaton was like a kid in the candy store,he was excited.Good to hear how he has progressed to a larger tank and everything is doing good.

Hmmmm....wonder which Andrew that is...though I have an idea...Is he really outgoing and super talkative, a little on the nerdy side for a kid? I'll have to check with Keaton to see if he knows who works there. Small world... :)
