Frags needed

SammyL

Reefer
I am brand new to the coral thing and would like to buy some frags to get me started. I am located outside of Reading in Mohnton 19540 and willing to travel.

Anything available?

What are you looking for? LPS, SPS, softies?
What kind of lighting are you using? How long has the tank been running?
You will find a lot of the locals have some nice frags to sell, myself included :)

My 180 has been back up and running for over a month now. Lighting is a litle odd, I am having a guy convert my T8 fixtures to LED tubes. He is in the LED business and also into the hobby, so I will have 4 fixtures (36" length with a total of 6 tubes in them). I will hopefully get them on the tank next weekend and will post pics.

I think it would be best for me to start with softies unless someone who is more experience thinks their is a better choice.

I can hook you up with a few mushrooms, green star polyps, monti cap and frog spawn, all are very hardy.

180 - nice; upload some pics

Heads up- 2turtles frogspawn is AMAZING!! We got some from him last year (maybe 18 months?) and its just beautiful. Doubled in size in a year (well, everything we got from him looks great and is doing excellent!), were planning a trip to go see him again soon!

What part of mohnton? I don't have anything to frag at the moment, but nice to see a local reefer. I'm out of shillington.

I live right by Maple Grove Raceway.

Just curious, are you the guy that is selling the MP40 on craigslist?

No that's not me. I wish I had one to sell lol. I have two mp10 on my 75. I bet that's fun living by the raceway, that's another of my many hobbies that I've held off on since moving up here.

SammyL, softies, rics, zoos, shrooms are all good choices when just getting into coral. They tend to tolerate and thrive in less than ideal water conditions. SPS are more demanding and require a stable, mature environment to thrive. I have a frags available, rics, zoos, frogspawn, shrooms, etc...home all day today if you want to stop in for a look at my 375 mixed reef, pm me for cell and address. Thanks! Brian

We live north of Reading in Blandon. Right now we have a ton of anthelia, Kenya tree, leather frags and green zoas....most of those we've just been throwing out.

Thank you everyone who has been lending support! It is truely refreshing.

When I get my lights up and running next week I will PM you guys.

Thank you again.
